Chipotle debuts national TV ad on Roblox to promote sustainability

Chipotle has made foodservice history with a 60-second spot on the popular online game Roblox, becoming the first restaurant company to debut an ad in the so-called "metaverse" (or exclusively online space). The ad is focused on sustainability, a perennial concern with progressives since the the mid-19th century. However, as climate concerns gain traction and the exploitative nature of economies of scale become common worries, firms all over the globe - with Chipotle being no exception - are turning to unique ways to spread the message that they too are committed to helping and healing the environment.
Retail media’s impact on holiday advertising rises: Sensor Tower

The business of "commerce media," a term that refers to services that double as platforms to sell targeted advertising, is booming in the latest reports from analytics firms like Sensor Tower. Typically, big box firms like Target and Walmart have dominated the retail advertising sector, but with the rise of e-commerce giants like Amazon (which is so influential in the realms of marketing, advertising, and consumer media that it basically is its own sector of those respective markets) and non-retail or specialty services that sell ads (like Uber and pet service company Chewy), the game is changing. This past quarter, Uber reported record levels of revenue, much of which came from targeted ads created based on the sale of first-party data. This non-traditional method of retail advertising has shaken up the market, and continues to drive innovation - and disruption - in the world of marketing.
Rémy Martin celebrates local music scene in 4 US cities

Cognac producer Rémy Martin has released a limited edition run of bottles in a collection entitled "This Is My City," centered around the hip-hop scene in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and New York. Faced with declining sales in the premium spirits market in America and with cognac being hit particularly hard, Rémy Martin has turned to their longtime association with the genre of hip-hop to try to drive growth and build some excitement around their classic liquor. Tariffs threatened by President Trump are also worrying foreign spirit manufacturers, as a 25% tax on imported liquor was levied by Trump in his last term and is expected to be renewed.
